BRUGES MUSEUMS
Musea Brugge Musea Brugge is the umbrella organization for 16 museums with diverse collections. The locations are subdivided into three groups: the GROENINGE Museum (Artistic Works), the HOSPITAALMUSEUM (historical hospitals with among others the Memling collection) and the BRUGGEMUSEUM (historical museums). Every year, almost 800,000 local and foreign guests visit one or more museums of the City of Bruges.
Bruggemuseum-ArcheologieThis museum focuses on aspects of life from prehistory, the Roman period and the Middle Ages (both Early and Late) with elements of 21st-century living. Under the motto of 'feel the past under your feet,' visitors will discover the history of the city through a series of 'do' and 'search' tasks. Archaeological finds, replicas and reconstructions are all to be discovered in an educational yet entertaining way.
